So you’re at the mercy of chance on wether you are taking orders with tips. Uber - Doesn’t show tip amount, only your base pay. Occasionally it will be a truncated total and you may actually get a larger tip/total. In my city, they show you the total including the tip most times. But depending on where you are, the downtime can add up. I'm starting to think that doordash is way more in demand in my area then uber.ĭoorDash - you can be picky about which offers you accept, and cherry pick or wait for the higher ones. They said "no worries, we will refund them". Well I called door dash support, was connected within 2 minutes to someone who I could understand, and told them "taco bell said the soda was in the bag" I was pissed becuase i had to call support, and with my experience with Uber I expected a long wait time to India. The only con is apartments are fucked, and 3 out of my 20 deliveries were not ready when I arrived and I had to wait.Īlso I did fuck up on my last order, and forgot to get some guy his soda. I decided before I started today to only accept orders that made 2 dollars per mile. Most deliveries were within 15 minutes of the restaurant, but most were like 8 minutes away. I rarely had to wait for orders, every single customer tipped. I had an hour in between schedules and tried uber.I got two 6 dollar rides and had to wait to get pax. Today I made about 235 in about 8 hours doing door dash.My brother showed me his earnings, he's making 300 on a slow day in nor cal. Then 9 pm - 12 am can be Uber.Īnyways ask for receipt from your brother. I personally just do Doordash from 3-8 pm unless there’s a huge Uber surge. Moreover, when you have a bad day wherein you’re getting shitty ass orders or it takes you to a restaurant that puts your order last because it’s Doordash, then you’re in for a time. If you mess up once, they’ll deactivate you. On a Tuesday and Thursday, I can make an average of $200-$250 on a 9 hour run. Call me picky but I don’t like giving shitty people satisfaction. Keep in mind that I don’t do Uber when there’s no surges (only way is if there’s a high promotion) and I especially never do no tip Doordash orders. I do Doordash and Uber at the same time but lately I’ve been making more money in Doordash. That’s only applicable for days like Halloween, memorial’s day, etc In town I live in it seems doordash is more in demand.ģ00-400 a day on a Doordash lol? Ask him for the receipts. With uber I have to travel 40 minutes to a different town to get more rides. When I drive for uber I have a conversational routine to win over paxs tips, but with door dash so far I feel like I would make more money.at least in my area. All of my orders except one, I didn't even see the customer. The only con so far I see is not being able to win over tips. Less miles per dollar, less driving, and less matience It seems like I won't have to travel out of my areaĦ. All of my request gave me 30 seconds to decide on the delivery (ubers 7-10 seconds)ĥ. It seems like there's more demand and money in doordashĤ. I don't have to deal with all the pax issuesģ. I feel like I don't have to keep my car as clean.Ģ. So far I'm seeing tons of pros over doordash then uber:ġ. In 1 hour and 15 minutes I made 44 bucks. It took me 5 months of calling uber everyday for my background check. Within 5 minutes of explaining that I haven't been approved I was blew my mind. Today I called, and got to speak with someone within 3 minutes of calling, and I can understand them. My brother brags how he's been making 300-400 dollars a day with door dash, in 8-9 hours. So long story short, it took a year for me to get approved for doordash becuase of an error on there side if things.
